Swim free, dear Wilbur, you beautiful soul,

An amazing person completely and whole.

So kind and caring, with humour and love,

He’s missed by so many, cherished beyond and above.

A fellow with challenges, nothing stopped him achieving,

In himself and others, he was always believing.

He gave praise and compliments freely to others,

Such a warm-hearted person to his sisters and brothers.

I remember in Adelaide Jack wandering out of reach,

Loosing track of time on a trip to the beach!!

And at a picnic, asked to bring a plate,

He brought a packet of them- no food- it was great!!

He shone in his role playing Wilbur the Whale,

And will always be the original, in that particular tale.

A fantastic ASM in Look Mum, No Hands,

He gave it his all in SA and Queensland.

A wonder in workshops, everybody loved him,

As did the whole community, on more than a whim.

He touched people’s lives in such a marked way,

The love that Jack gave would simply make your day.

He was such a close part of indelability,

We miss him so much, a member of our family.

Swim free, dear Wilbur, you beautiful soul,

That you are now in calmer waters does console.
