Productions:

A new indelabilityarts work costs $380 000

Average cost from development to touring four locations. This cost ensures ethical pay for artists, comprehensive accessibility and high production standards.

Artist Wages and Fees

As Queensland's foremost professional accessible theatre company we ensure our artists are paid at industry rates when performing and touring. This includes per diems when away from home and oncosts including superannuation. Wages & fees for cast and creatives makes up the bulk of any production budget and can range from $225 000 to $275 000 for development through to a four week tour.

Accessibility

We aim to include as many accessible options as possible in all shows to ensure that theatre really is for everyone. Most professional theatre companies have a small number of shows where accessible options are available. A full suite of accessible services for a season can cost anywhere from $15 000 to $25 000 across a season.

Travel and Accommodation

Touring a production to ensure audiences see true representation on stage has a number of budget elements to consider. Travel and Accommodation is a large part of the expense when touring. Travel and Accommodation to three relatively close regional areas can cost from $30 000 - $40 000.

Materials and
Administration Costs

Material costs includes materials for sets, costumes, technology, marketing and publicity, fees, insurances. Production costs are variable based on the needs of the show but generally range from $60 000 - $70 000.

Workshops:

Indelabilityarts employs professional performing arts specialists to lead our workshop program across three locations.

Covering Theatre, Musical Theatre and Film Making these workshops give an opportunity to community members and aspiring artists to experience the performing arts in an accessible, supporting and community focussed space.

These workshops can also be the springboard for artists looking for a way to start their performing arts journey outside of traditional formal education programs. Many programs do not have the level of accessibility support required to make some community members feel welcome and accepted.

Our workshops are supported with in kind venue hire from venues like Redland Performing Arts Centre, and the Empire Theatre in Toowoomba.

The Average cost of running our workshops program is $18 500 year.
